This is one of my most personal artworks. I have always been fascinated by exploration at the intersection of science and art that examines not only how the universe works, but also our meaning and place within it. It has been said that we are the universe's way of experiencing itself, as we are ourselves part of it - drawn from the same mathematical fabric as the rest of universe. This artwork reflects the world through my eyes and it is inspired by myself on any day sitting in my bedroom and looking out of the window; wondering about the nature of existence - where we come from and why we are here - and remembering what it means to truly be reignited with a sense of fascination for the universe that surrounds us. Imagination is central to both science and art; allowing for development of original theories and contemporary modes of artistic expression. 'Daydream' is an exploration of how our mind can transport us in ways that allows us to make new connections between experiences, forming the basis of original ideas.
