Plant-Dyed Fabrics
Plant-Dyed Fabrics
I acknowledge that we gather, live, work and play on the lands of the Kaurna people and pay respect to Elders past, present and future.
I use plant dyes as a sustainable and non-toxic alternative to synthetic dyes. I work to capture striking colours and unique patterns. I search for plants that will yield a vibrant colour-fast dye. Through my travels, I've had the opportunity to learn from the remarkable Dyer Linda Chee and I have dyed fabrics with plants from all over the world. Dyed with both native Australian and exotic plants, these fabrics reveal invisible colours and fragrances, providing a unique sensory experience.
Dye pot; lavendar, eucalyptus and indigofera tinctoria.
